This painting is dedicated to our mighty farthest planet visible to the naked eye. The cold one, the slow crawler, the one that is not so popular to those who decide to be guided by the conscious movement of the celestial objects in the sky, due to the limitations and challenges it brings. But all for many great reasons to be called a teacher.
 
It represents the beginning of time, the prima materia - a void of darkness and chaos from which creation was born. It is the beginning of the alchemical work, a phase called Nigredo, or blackening. It is where we begin and where we end, as much the dark womb of rebirth as it is the fetid tomb.
 
The earthly one who rules the first chakra, Muladhara, the seat of the kundalini energy from which ascension begins.
It guides us towards discipline, planning, dedication and moderation, which all provide necessary fertile ground for stimulating creative innovations and manifestation of our dreams, visions and potentials.
 
It carries a power of number 3, number of Binah and the Neopagan Triple Goddess of the moon: waxing, full, wanning.
For the Gnostics, it was known as the evil Demiurge, Yaldabaoth. A child of chaos produced through ignorance and representing death or destructive aspect of time. On the other hand it is the highest archon and the first ruler with the head of a Lion and the body of a Serpent, showing its generative potential while incorporated into our life usefuly.
 
When we dive deep into subconscious and meet the dark chambers of our mind, the grotesque, bizzare and contradicting fluctuations keep meandering around and influencing our behaviour until we recognise them and bring them love. This nurturing and loving touch of light breaks the shells of our wounded ego and penetrates through cracks into the centre of our being, bringing forth the wisdom of the heart. A philosopher's stone, uniquely sculpted and carved to activate the healing journey of each individual soul who dares to lock an eye onto it.
The pyramids have fascinated me since childhood, so they placed themselves on the canvas to emphasize the feeling of ascension as the conductors and generators of all pervasive cosmic energy.
On the other side a distant dwarf of the unconscious dimensions calls us to acknowledge our Plutonian underworld as the healing incubator for renewal and rebirth.
 
All energies are harmonized and the wisdom of the ancient stone flows into the Great Sky above where the Sun resides. A Father figure of stability and clear vision, a Lion, a King. An Atom, the Centre.
 
Too much of Saturnian energy can feel as we are being pulled down by a massive force of gravity, locked onto the dense and heavy Earth, burdened by material matters, unable to reach for the sky and breathe fresh expansive air.
 
Too little of its presence can disperse our awareness and detach us from the ground, making us float in the realms of ideas with no body to give birth to them in the physical dimension.
When we balance darkness and light, Earth and Sky merge together and a channel of intuition, inspiration and creation is open to flush us with devotion and strenght necessary for manifesting our divine purpose here on Earth. With wings wide open.
 
This is a relic of Saturn, created in gratitude for all teachings that the energy of that planet brought to my life. To comemorate a moment when I met with him again, on its return, last year.
Many unpredictable and shocking events happened around that time which have shaped my life in ways unimaginable. Shattered lots of my illusions and refined the perception of reality of my innermost constitution, so I could create more stable and healthy foundations for living.
 
It is just magnificent how we are all inseparably connected to all energies that dance around in the cosmic playground, with one and only great mission. To grow and expand.
